Recording Staff Attendance
Once you have scheduled shifts for your staff members in Abacus, you are able to keep a record of their attendance, absence and sickness.
To record staff attendance, do the following:
- Click on the Staff button and select 'Schedule Shifts':
- Select a staff member from the list:
- Click on a shift in the grid:
- Select if the staff member attended their shift, or if they were absent or sick. The colour of the bar in the grid will change to match your selection:
Attended this shift = blue
Sick for this shift = red
Absent for this shift = black
- If you select 'Sick for this shift' an alert will be displayed:
Select the start and end time of the sickness - this is useful if the staff member only missed part of their shift.
Select if the staff member qualified for a sick day.
- Click on the 'Yes' button.
- Click on the 'Save' button.
