Viewing Next Steps


Footsteps 2 allows you to quickly and easily view the next steps for all children at your setting on the new Next Steps page. 

To view next steps for all children, do the following:
  1.  Click/tap on the 'View' button on the Next Steps tile on the Observations Menu page:



    You can see the number of next steps waiting to be achieved by looking at the number in brackets on the tile. 

  2.  The Next Steps page will be displayed:



    Next Steps will be listed alphabetically by child surname. 

  3.  For each next step you will see the name of the child the next steps is for, the target date for the next step to be completed (if one was set), the EYFS areas and age bands to be worked on and a description of the next step, if one was entered.

  4.  You can filter the next steps listed on this page by EYFS area, age band, room, cohort or key person:
