To schedule a funded session, do the following:
Please note: Before you are able to schedule funded sessions you must assign the child to a funding group in Children > Accounts > Discounts > Funding.
- Click on the Children button and select 'Sessions':

- Select a child from the list:

- Click on the Schedule dropdown and select 'Funded Sessions'.
This will display the Schedule Funding page:

- Begin by selecting the start date and end date for the funded sessions; by default the start date will be set to this week and the end date will be set to the child's estimated leave date.
- Choose if you want the funded sessions to follow a booking pattern - please refer to the Scheduling a Rotational Booking Pattern for more information.
- Select the times you want the funded session to begin and finish in the Session Info section.
You can schedule funded sessions to begin or end at different times for each day of the week.
- Click on the days of the week which you are offering the funded session. A pink line will appear in the grid to show the session has been scheduled.
You can schedule funded sessions at the same time as a regular session; Abacus will work out when you run your invoices which sessions need to be charged for and which sessions are funded.

You can see how many hours of funding the child is eligible for each week and the total number of hours booked above the grid.
Please note: it may not be possible to use up a child's full funding entitlement if they do not have sessions booked every day, or if the funding group the child is assigned to restricts the maximum amount of hours they can book over the course of a week.
- Once you have finished scheduling the child's funded sessions, click on the 'Next' button.
- The next page shows the child's suggested room movements based on their age and the age limits of your rooms. Click on the 'Save' button.
For more information on room movements, please refer to the Scheduling a Regular Booking Pattern article.
- On the child's Sessions tab you will see the funded sessions you scheduled in the grid. For example:
