Parent Portal Release Notes 28/04/2022


This release contains the following improvements:

New login enhancements

The existing login method of Username, Date of Birth and Password has been replaced by an email address and password login method.


Data capture form

To ensure we have an accurate email address, users will be presented with this new form after they have logged in.

 

For now, users have an option to ‘Skip for now’.

New login page

For users that have setup a new email address and password, the following new login page will be displayed.




New Forgot Password

Users who have forgot their password can now use the new ‘Forgotten Password?’ link at the bottom of the login page to receive an email with reset instructions.

 

 


Abacus Parent Portal tab changes

The Parent Portal tab within Abacus will show the signed up email address with the following instructions for carers using the new login system:

"This carer now logs into Parent Portal using the new email address and password method. 

"They can reset their password through the 'Forgot Password' link on their login page, or by going here."



Newsfeed improvements

Newsfeed filter

Users are now able to filter the content they want to see from Dayshare and Footsteps on their newsfeed. These are:

  1. Learning observations
  2. Activities
  3. Meals
  4. Sleeps
  5. Toileting
  6. Pick-ups/Drop-offs
  7. Comments



Newsfeed refresh button

It’s now possible to load the latest newsfeed events by clicking the new refresh icon.




Diary page improvements

We have made the following improvements to the Diary page:

  • New Today view
  • The calendar now extends to the full height of the page
  • Calendar buttons further apart to make touch easier



Contact page improvements

We have made the following improvements to the contact page:

  • Improved styling to use our modern components - as seen in Footsteps
  • More than 3 images no longer overflow outside of the screen visibility
  • Added loading spinner icon 
  • Resolved contact form error displayed after clicking Send.




About page improvements
We have made the following improvements to the About page:

  • Moved the setting’s details to the top of the page
  • Limited the maximum width of the setting’s logo for improved page design
  • Moved the Parenta logo and ‘Powered by Parenta’ text to the bottom of the page.
