Footsteps 2 allows you to quickly and easily view all of your draft observations on the new Draft Observations page.
To view your draft observations, do the following:
Click/tap on the 'View' button on the Draft Observations tile on the Observations Menu page:
You can see the number of draft observations you have at a glance by looking at the number in brackets on the tile.
The Draft Observations page is displayed:
Draft observations are listed alphabetically by child surname. All draft group observations will be at the bottom of the list.
The details displayed for each draft observation will vary based on how much of the observation you completed before saving it. For most drafts you should see the name of the child the observation is for, the date the observation was recorded, the observation type and a description of the observation. Any EYFS areas you selected will also be displayed.
To continue working on a draft observation, simply click/tap on any part of it; this will open the Observation form. Any details you previously entered will be displayed on the form.
You can filter the observations listed on this page by EYFS area or by user:
By default, the Draft Observations page will be filtered to show only observations which you have saved as a draft. You can see another user's draft observations by selecting a different name from the filter. For example:
To view draft observations via the Observations List page, do the following:
Click/tap on the 'View' button on the Recorded Observations tile on the Observations Menu page:
This will open the Observations List page.
You can see the number of draft observations outstanding for each child by looking at the numbered circles in the 'Drafts' column:
Click/tap on a number in the 'Drafts' column to view the draft observations for that child:
To continue with a draft observation simply click/tap on it; this will open the Observation form. Any details previously entered will be displayed on the form.
Once you have finished viewing a child's draft observations, click/tap on the button to close the 'Draft Observations' section.
